October 15-16, 2016
Using the tradition of Celtic spirituality this retreat overnight will focus on celebrating creation and the interrelatedness of every living thing to one another and to God. Participants will have the opportunity to experience what it is to pray while walking a wilderness path, listening to the sounds of nature at eventide, or taking a prayer walk among wildflower gardens and woods.
The retreat will be led by the Rev. Susan Skinner, a member of Spiritual Director’s International and an experienced retreat leader and will be held in Riverwoods Retreat Center near Washington, MO with lodging at the near-by Best Western Hotel in Washington. The time will include input from the retreat leader, suggested meditative experiences from the Celtic tradition, as well as times for silence and group reflections.
The retreat begins Saturday morning at 9:30 am October 15, and concludes with lunch and Eucharist on Sunday, October 16.
The $175 fee covers the cost of lodging for one night at the Best Western Plus Hotel in Washington and three meals at Riverwoods. Breakfast is available at the Best Western and included in the hotel cost. A $100 non-refundable deposit is necessary by October 7. The remaining $75 is due at the commencement of the retreat.
