Riverwoods Retreat Center, Near Washington, Missouri
October 17-18, 2015
Using the “Benedictis, omnia opera Domini” (“A Song of Creation”) this overnight retreat will focus on celebrating creation and the interrelatedness of every living thing to one another and to God. Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a lovely wooded site, listen to the sounds of nature at eventide, pray together in a log Chapel and enjoy delicious meals at Riverwoods Retreat Center near Washington, Missouri.
The Retreat Center is the contemporary lower level of an 1830’s historic log home overlooking the Missouri River. The grounds include wildflower gardens and walking trails to the Missouri River. The Chapel, with a gas log fireplace, will be used for prayer and some worship services. Riverwoods is an easy 45 minute drive from downtown St. Louis.
The retreat will be led by the Rev. Susan Skinner, a member of Spiritual Director’s International and an experienced retreat leader. The time will include input from the retreat leader, suggested meditative experiences, as well as opportunities for silence and group reflections.
